Erin and I had a lovely long walk this morning, including a stop for latte (for me) and plain old boring coffee (for her). The weather was absolutely perfect, as it usually is at this time of year here in the valley. Not so good for allergy sufferers since everything is in bloom, but for us without such afflictions it's quite glorious.
On the way home we passed by this huge hedge of Matilija poppy; I call it a fried egg plant. We only see the blooms for a short time and then it reverts to a grayish foliage.
Cait sent me this picture this morning. She and MM went to a derby party and obviously dressed for the occasion. They certainly do clean up nicely!
